About This Job

As a Project Engineer or Utility Mapping Specialist you will play a crucial role in overseeing SUE investigations, focusing on data compilation and analysis to support utility design. Your responsibilities will include reviewing maps and GIS data to develop detailed Existing Utility Plans and reports. This position is perfect for engineers with a background in GIS, land development, or civil engineering who are eager to apply their skills in a specialized field.

Essential Functions and Duties

• Review plan sets for accuracy and quality utility data.
• Conduct SUE review meetings to analyze source materials and mapped data.
• Develop and refine Existing Utility Plans and reports, providing recommendations and observations for the design team where supplemental field investigation is necessary.

Requirements

• EIT certification
• Colorado PE (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in GIS, land development, civil engineering, or related fields
• Local market experience preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proficiency with technical software including ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation platforms
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

Salary:

$70,000 – $100,000

Your actual pay will be based on your applicable experience.
