About This Job
The Field Services Project Manager is responsible for fostering strong client relationships, coordinating field operations, and ensuring quality and budget compliance for utility services projects. This role requires effective communication, organizational expertise, strong leadership, and extensive knowledge of the utility services industry. Collaborating closely with the Field Services Director and General Manager, the Field Services Project Manager will drive operational efficiency and support organizational objectives.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Act as a liaison with Xcel Energy for a designated region, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
- Oversee project budgets from initial proposals through to final deliverables, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Coordinate with Field Services Supervisors to direct fieldwork and ensure quality checks on all field projects and services are completed.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve workflow, optimize operations, and maintain high service standards.
- Coordinate with Project Coordinators to ensure necessary permits from municipalities and jurisdictions are secured
- Partner with Project Coordinators to keep internal and external project tracking spreadsheets accurate and up to date.
- Provide regular project updates, including status reports, challenges, and opportunities, to the Field Services Director and General Manager.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of project management or supervisory experience in utility services, construction, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in utility designation using surface geophysical equipment.
- At least 1 year of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) experience.
- Ability to apply advanced techniques and modifications, serving as a technical expert in the field.
- Familiarity with industry-standard construction practices and techniques.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
- Clean driving record.
Hourly Wage:
$30 to $45 per hour, based on applicable skill level
