HKS provided all civil engineering design for this 5.0-acre, transit-oriented development project in the Gates redevelopment area. The project included first-floor retail development on Broadway in addition to 482 dwelling units and a “wrapped” multi-story parking garage. Our infrastructure design included shallow porous landscape water quality basins, porous concrete pavement (also for water quality design) and underground, pumped detention basin.

Additional key civil design elements included coordination with the City and the Metropolitan District for the then-ongoing design of Broadway adjacent to the site; the design of Acoma Street; and the design of Arizona Street.
